The Josie Lou Ratley Benefit Tournament Held At Holiday Park Florida
This was a tournament that I walked up on one day when I went fishing at the Holiday Park in South Florida. Josie Lou Ratley is a teenager who was physically assaulted by a teenage male and put her in a coma and is now on a streanious schedule of physical therapy, let alone the ordeal to the family. I was casting off of the pier and I seen the guys setting up the weigh station with banners and writting the names on the board. I went over just as the boats were coming in and asked what it was about. There were 4 trophies, nice one at that, and a raffle. The fishermen started to do the weigh in's, let me tell you, I was jealous of those catches that they made. The biggest was a 7.16 lbs large mouth and the winner had a total of 27 lbs on 4 large mouth bass. It was for a worthy cause.

A Fishing Day Without A Boat...
From all the fishermen or anglers that are out there, with all the advice, helpful hints as to where to fish, what times to fish, what kind of line, hooks, rods, reels to use. Even though we all do not have the fundings to go out and get the most expensive gear to go fishing like the Pros do. Even though they have sponsorships and somewhat funding. We all like to go out there, whether on a boat, from a John Boat to a Triton or Nitro Bass Tournament type with all the whistles. Of course it comes with a pretty price as well. Fishing is a way of relaxing, enjoying the day or morning with a friend(s) or by yourself, but I do not recommend going out on a boat by yourself. If you do, at least let someone know your destination and return time. Never know what could happen, better safe then sorry later on.
As for me, well, I've been fishing from both aspects of being on a boat, a pier and on the shore line. I would prefer lakes and canals over the ocean, it's more calm. Unless you are in a tournament or competing with friends, make fishing your day, forget about work, the worries of the everyday hasles, and of course, bills.

I still laugh every time I look at the previous video! It definitely is a good one (although it doesn't show us women in very good light!)
Anyways, I'm just checking in to see how everyone is and to give you a short list of some articles I wrote on Xomba regarding Paddle Boats.

Went Fishing Today And These Are Two Lures That I Used...
While fishing this afternoon I figured, why not give a review on my lures, the ins and outs of them. I selected two different Swimbait Lures at two different prices, from the same store. Since they are the new hype, well not so new, but the lure designs are new, almost fish like and swimming like a fish or bait. Well for my review they are both almost 5 inches long. After I casted both lures for some action, the Silver soft plastic Shad with the single tri-hook for me is the best that I have seen out there or have used, it moves and mimics the actual bait or fish, I casted it about 40-50 feet with no weight attached and got several bites on it. The other swim bait lure two color hard plastic Shad with the two tri-hooks and the most separaters, which I'm supposed to think will swim a lot better. Well, after casting the hard plastic Shad the same distance in the same waters, but it did not swim at all. It came in straight like it was a stick jig; no swimming action. The only thing that was moving was the hook and it cost twice as much as the soft plastic swim bait. It might be that I have a bad Swim bait, but I doubt it. This is just my view of my two Swim baits.

Welcome to My Boat Blog
Welcome to My Boat Blog!
While my husband and I both agree that we like boating, we DON'T agree on what kind!
HE "loves" fishing for bass, so his boat of choice is a bass boat!
I don't like fishing, but enjoy the peace and quiet of river life, so I "love" paddle (and pedal) boats and canoes. I also love "tubing", so I like something with a little bit of speed and comfort. :) (yes, us women love our comfort!)
So, if you've come here thinking it's going to be all fishing, NOPE, that won't be here, although I do plan on placing fishing tips (from my husband, Santos!) and tricks to get more and BIGGER fish here because that's what Santos does!
So, I hope you enjoy it here and plan on visiting again!
